Our Lady Grizzlies played well at the 2016 Excalibur Tournament in Irvine December 27-29. Despite the absence of several players early in the tournament, our Varsity squad powered through the brackets with wins over Buchanan, Esperanza, Rosary and Huntington Beach. With only 1 loss to Cathedral Catholic in a close game Wednesday evening, the LOHS Varsity team finished 5th out of 32 teams in this prestigious SoCal Tournament. Greetings, Fellow Osos Girls Soccer Supporters! On behalf of the Los Osos Girls Soccer program, the coaching staff would like to wish you all Happy Holidays. Enjoy this time with your family and loved ones!!

The LOHS Girls Soccer program spent some valuable time Saturday morning with pro soccer player Jamia Fields. Jamia is a Los Osos High School alumni, and offered to come help the LOHS girls soccer players sharpen their skills.

After a thorough warm-up, Jamia showed our players a number of interesting and effective drills; plus some small group scrimmage exercises. She challenged the girls to a juggling contest which produced three winners who each received prizes of a soccer ball and gift certificate. The morning finished up with a question and answer period, along with an autographed photo for all attendees.

LOHS Alumni and Pro Soccer player Jamia Fields will host an Elite Skills Clinic at Los Osos High school this Saturday, Dec 17, 2016.

This clinic will be held in the Soccer Stadium at LOHS between 10am – 11:30am

Jamia will give the soccer team tips and tricks from a NWSL pro. Players will be challenged to focus on new personal skill development, proper technique, handling pressure, playing with speed and group tactical skills will be focal points. The players will be challenged technically and tactically in a fun environment. Jamia will also discuss the importance of team play, pro soccer tactics, functional play and respect for the game.

SoCal Prep Legends has selected Serena Camacho as Girl’s Athlete of the Week. She is one of 8 female high school athletes in Southern California to have earned this honor, and is in the vote for SCPL’s BEST GIRL’S ATHLETE for this week.
