January 16, 2018: The LOHS Varsity squad put another win on the board in a hard fought game against St. Lucy’s. They are now in 2nd place in the Baseline League, and are one of only two unbeaten teams in league play.

Completing a home game sweep for Los Osos, both our JV and Frosh ladies won their matches against Rancho Cucamonga. Frosh put 4 in the net to best the Cougars’ 2 goals; while our JV team took a tighter game against RC by a score of 2 to 1. All three of the LOHS Lady Grizzly teams are unbeaten in League play! Go Grizzlies!!

Our Varsity Ladies fought hard at home Friday night, January 12th to defeat the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars, 2 to 1. They are now 2-0-0 in league play, and are climbing the CIF Southern Section rankings. As on Monday, January 8th, our Varsity team is ranked 9th in CIF S/S.

Excalibur has been wrenched from the stone and brought home by our Varsity ladies!

Overcoming injuries, sickness and a never-ending supply of highly skilled opponents, the LOHS Varsity squad brought home the prized trophy from the 2017 Excalibur Tournament. Playing at the Silverlakes Sports Complex in Norco, our hard-working ladies won all 5 games in the tournament; including 2 that had to be decided by penalty kicks.

Also honored at this tournament by being selected to the “All Tournament” team were Skylar Medel, Erin Covey, Kala McDaniel and Lauren Bennett. Jaiden Suchanek was selected for the “Golden Boot” scoring award. Great work Grizzlies!

Our Frosh and JV girls will be competing again in the NOCC Tournament, December 27-29, 2017.
